Five of us are sitting here after a big long day. It’s beautiful. Whitstable, The Old Neptune, seats on the beach. The lead singer of The Cuban Brothers gave us his table and some local recommendations. Good lad. I immediately liked him. One of us one of us google goggle google goggle etc.

The thing that’s worrying me right now is the stillages, which are worth money but I’ve got no time to list them for collection so I’ve outsourced it and people can get as many stillages as they can carry for £30 each cos I just want them gone. A man called Chad has already bitten for six of them. It’s a mad deal. If you’ve got a warehouse or anywhere to put them you can easily move them on for much more money over time.

But this is the job. I’m finding homes for things QUICKLY. The lads know that if they want something they can have it, but they do have to run it by me and today I had to arbitrate it. There are a pair of heavy duty sewing machines and two of the lads had it in their piles. After some thought I took them out of both. They know Lou, so they get the fact I’m pulling one out for her. The other one I’m gonna sell, because despite my love for these lads I’m trying to make money here when it comes down to it and I’m paying properly.

I’ve spent so much on storage this year because I’ve been busy. If I take on a load more stuff I need to make sure I’m not being an idiot about money as usual. Sure the stillages could go for much more but if they go on someone else’s truck they go positively and not on my clock. Time is not on my side.

My head is so full though. All I know for certain is what I’ve destroyed. All the things I’ve kept? No idea what they are. But I’ve had John photograph the lot going in.

My team is perfect, I’m so happy. A group of friends and creatives who don’t do this all the time but take a similarly strange joy. Right now we are all watching the incredible sunset from the Old Neptune in Whitstable after the perfect post work fish and chips. Clouds catching the light as the sun ducks under to give us all a moment to rest. Back into it tomorrow first thing. Here we go go go…

Canice took a picture of me writing to you. He sent it to me as a kind of gotcha, but I’m happy to see it. A reminder that we can be in our phones and in the beauty simultaneously. This is the dumb flat face of these scribblings – I’ll often try and find a glorious place to be when I make them.

Global Crew shirt. Because one thing leads to another and I wanted to honour the connection on my first day of this. Skill is a powerful gift, as is trust. Love you Kes and John.
